Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University in contemporary social and cultural conditions (to 80 years anniversary of the University)
There are revealed the ideas of the essence and specificity of pedagogic work assumed as basis of the conception and development program of Volgograd State Social and Pedagogical University for the period of 2011 - 2015. From the position of continuous pedagogic education there are given the essential characteristics of the university complex of the VSSPU, regulations of its further establishment as the basis centre of teacher training. The article is devoted to the 80th anniversary of the University.

Personality developing education: twenty years of search
There is regarded the range of issues, methodological and conceptual bases of theory and practice of personality developing education. The mentioned bases are considered in the field of ideas and traditions of the Volgograd scientific pedagogical school. Communicative and pragmatic characteristics of a teaching foreign language text
There is substantiated that in formation of the skills to work with a text, great attention should be paid to text work, when not only perception but also interpretation of the text should be taken into consideration. Ethics of scientific research
The paper addresses the influence of ethical considerations on the choice of research methods and the investigation process. The ethical norms are summed up the following main categories: 1) honesty and integrity in research; 2) acknowledgement of the intellectual contribution of other scholars; 3) relationship with the public; 4) moral values asserted or contradicted by the research. The paper also analyses the ethical norms functioning in the Internet, as well as problems arising in intercultural research communication.

Reflection on onomastic terminology
Onomastics as an independent scientific area was established only in the middle of the XX century. The decisive contribution to the establishment and development of the Russian onomastic terminology was made by the dictionary by N.V.Podolskaya (1978, 2nd edition - 1988). The new dictionary of onomastic terminology, which carries on the traditions of N.V.Podolskaya, should contain the definitions of the new terms, characteristic for the development of science of the XXI century, show the connection of onomastics and linguistics, history, geography, social science, culturology and other spheres.

Burlesque in the light of the antique theory of three styles
In the light of the antique theory of three styles and the category of appropriateness (ƒƒέƒƒƒ, aptum), there are considered the thematic and style varieties of burlesque, revealed the sphere of the given style, made the paradigm of its production methods. Clock in Korobochkas house (experience of mythic and poetic commentary)
Based on the analysis of the third chapter of the poem Dead Souls by N.V.Gogol, there is given the mythic and poetic commentary on its subject and figurative structure. Correlation of Gogols text and ethnographic reality and finding out the mythological symbols of its images as the signs of other space allows establishing the connection between the writers mythic poetry and funeral traditions of the Slavic folk culture.
