Formation of grammatical competence as a component of foreign language communicative competence of a future teacher of foreign language
The article deals with the interpretations of the concept “grammatical competence” in foreign language education, its components and contents. The procedural model describing the stages, traditional and alternative methods and means of formation of grammatical competence of students of pedagogical higher school is developed in the article. The criteria that are indicators of the formation of grammatical competence are under consideration.

Extracurricular activities as a platform for developement of sociocultural competence of students of pedagogical higher school
The article deals with the principles and functions of extracurricular activities in foreign language in higher school in the process of sociocultural competence development. The basic characteristics of sociocultural competence are described. The authors develop the algorithm of organizing and conducting extracurricular work, find out the features of extracurricular foreign language activities that contribute to the process of formation of the sociocultural competence of students of pedagogical higher schools.

Development of sociocultural competence of students by means of interpretation of an authentic fiction text
The article deals with the technologies of interpretation of a fiction text in the process of development of sociocultural competence of students. The basic features of sociocultural competence are considered. The authors develop the processual model of interpretation of a literary work aimed at future teacher’s sociocultural competence.

Organization of foreign language teaching practice as the factor of development of pedagogical higher school student’s professional competence
There is considered the organization of teaching practice in the higher school system of foreign language teacher training. There are described the basic characteristics of teaching practice and its stages oriented at the complex of skills that favour the formation of future teacher’s professional competence. There are marked out the assessment criteria for teaching practice in a foreign language as the factor of student’s professional competence development.

Modeling of situations of pedagogic communication as the means of formation of future foreign language teacher’s professional competence
There is described the modeling of situations of pedagogic communication in the university system of foreign language teacher training. There are represented the basic characteristics of the pedagogic communication and the most effective technologies of creating the educational and practical situations aimed at the skills included into the structure of future teacher’s professional competence and favoring the formation of it.
