There are revealed the principles of pedagogic support in formation of professional competence of students specializing in economics. There rae given the examples of these principles in teacher’s work, described the stages of the principles in the system of secondary professional education.

From the positions of the holistic approach there is described the pedagogic potential of the system of secondary professional education in the context of development of professional competence of a specialist in the sphere of economics: defined the potential of the system of secondary professional education, marked out its components, described its inner structure.

There is considered the issue of professional skills formation of a specialist of the economic sphere from the position of the competence approach. There is specified the notion of professional skills of a specialist in the economic sphere as the cognitive component of the professional competence, its functions and structure.
