Traditions and innovations in the activity of the Russian Academy of Education: to the 75th anniversary of its formation
The article characterizes the process of the development of academic science in Russia during 75 years since its formation. The main results of the activities of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Russian Federation, the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the USSR and the Russian Academy of Education are summarized.

Correlation of theory and practice in the historic and pedagogic context of modernization of Russian education
In the course of the analysis of the historic way of the domestic education starting from the second half of the XIX century until the modern period, there are marked out six periods of development of correlation of the pedagogic theory and practice and noted the productive forms of such correlation, substantiated the urgency and significance of these forms at the modern stage.
