The article describes movement verbs as units of learning and their implementation in textbooks and teaching aids for teaching Russian as a foreign language according to the conditions and stage of study. The author observes that using motion verbs in various styles causes difficulties for foreign students. On the basis of the identified specificities of the verbs of movement in functional styles, systems of exercises that help facilitate the assimilation of their use are presented.
