The article consideres the artistic text as a carrier of stereotypical gender speech characteristics of the characters in a literary work, which makes it possible to obtain information about the changes taking place in modern society. The author studies the problems of written and oral speech behavior of men and women, in which such phenomena as femininity and masculinity are displayed in German literature, namely in female prose of the second half of the 20th century.
