The article considers the origins of the plot of the Fall of Man in Russian literature. The author studies the transformation of the plot of the Fall of Man into the poetry by A. A. Grigoriev. The ideological and artistic originality of the lyrical text is revealed. The motive of the kneeling of the fallen hero in the poem by Grigoriev is related to the prose of F. M. Dostoevsky. The lyrics of Grigoriev are understood in the paradigm of Christian axiology.
