The article deals with the formal characteristics of numerals functioning in the text of the "Solovetsky chronicler". The conclusion is made about the influence of grammatical norms on numerals, which received a general literary status in the XVIII century and which were limited in the use by a narrower group of texts, predominantly of business style. The author reveals a connection between the language of the source being analyzed and live spoken language.
