The article deals with the problems in the field of teacher training related to the new stage in the development of the system of standardization and quality management in higher education. Special attention is paid to the unprecedented rigidity of the decisions taken by the Federal Inspectorate in Education and Science in recent months and years which requires that universities create their own effective strategies for managing educational activities and, in particular, introduce modern tools of strategic management and flexible management methodologies.
