The article deals with the Internet meme, which is a multimodal unit of Internet communication. Internet meme is considered a modern media discourse functioning in Internet communication. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the main discursive characteristics of the Internet meme. The main discursive features of the Internet meme are emotionality, anonymity, clip art, stylistically reduced character and media character.
