The article deals with the slang, which is becoming a certain universal code of social dialogue in the communicative practice of foreign students. Representing a multi-level semantic structure, it interprets the linguistic picture of the youth environment from the point of the world-view, ideological and philosophical forms of reflection of reality and justifies the need to develop the communicative learning strategies aimed to take into consideration various “organic parts” of student communication.
