The article deals with the issue of formation of first-year students’ readiness to study mathematics at the university. The content and structure of the concept of such readiness are described. The author presents the model of the method of formation of first-year students’ readiness to study mathematics at the university and describes its components: target, methodological, procedural, resultative and evaluative.
