The article deals with the approaches to the formation of vocational pedagogical orientation and competence of students. The issue is relevant due to the fact that a large percentage of students enter pedagogical universities not for the sake of a future profession, but for other reasons. Purposeful work in this direction will help to solve this problem. One of the effective technologies is the technology of creative teamwork. It develops students’ activity, creativity, organizational skills, which contributes to the formation of their vocational competence.
