The article deals with the issue of providing the agriculture of the Chechen-Ingush ASSR with personnel during the Great Patriotic War. In order to compensate for the shortage of labour in rural areas, the authorities widely employed students and workers, as well as women and teenagers in agricultural work. Great attention was paid to the improvement of the system of training of qualified personnel for rural areas. The deportation of Chechens and Ingush for several years exacerbated the shortage of workers in rural areas.
