The article deals with the structural features of the mass media neologisms of the English language. It describes 9 main morphological methods of word formation of neologisms. The most productive ways of word formation are word composition, affixation, contamination. Truncations, acronyms, conversion have less productivity. The lowest percentage are abbreviations, doublings and reverse derivation.
