The article deals with the Bolsheviks’ views on the place and role of craft cooperation in the Soviet economy during the transition from the military communism to NEP. The author describes the priority directions of the theoretical judgments and practical steps of the RCP(b) members in relation to cooperative artisans and craftsmen, identifies the problems faced by the party members and cooperators. Special attention is paid to the evolution of the Lenin cooperative plan.
