The article deals with the linguodidactic features of the academic writing genres (abstract, thesis, scientific article) and the specifics of teaching foreign-language scientific writing within the framework of the master’s program. The range of skills of the written academic language is under consideration. The structure of a foreign-language annotation is analyzed, special attention is paid to the algorithm of students’ actions in the process of writing.
