The article deals with the autocompetence, which allows teachers to adapt their knowledge and skills in a dynamically developing society, as well as based on modern requirements given in the documents, to detect the tendency to formation of professional destructions and to take the necessary preventive measures to overcome them. The teacher needs training in methods and means that can be applied within the framework of self-development. Systematic solution of tasks in the process of self-awareness in the vocational activities within the framework of a specially organized programme will allow a teacher to increase his / her autocompetence.
