Theoretical foundations of the educational module aimed at the formation of linguocultural competence within the framework of the linguistic education
The article deals with the issue of linguocultural competence formation within the framework of linguistic training in terms of the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standards of Higher Education 3++. The following criteria of the modular principle of construction of the educational program are offered: integration of axiological and culturological approaches; complementarity that allows using the opportunities of psychological and pedagogical disciplines in the course of training; variable components.

Sociocultural adaptation of foreign students to learning conditions in Russian higher schools
The article deals with the concept of “sociocultural adaptation of foreign students” through the system of its characteristics. By the example of the students from the People’s Republic of China studying at the Volgograd State Socio-Pedagogical University, the authors investigate the methods of pedagogic assistance to foreign students in overcoming the linguistic, didactic and sociocultural barriers at the preventive, primary and basic stages of sociocultural adaptation to the learning conditions in Russian higher schools.

Features of hermeneutic methods in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language
The article dealswith the urgent issue of teaching Russian to students from the Asian and Pacific region. It characterizes the cultural and psychological features of students from the Asian and Pacific region and proves the necessity of hermeneutic methods, which are adequate to these features.
