The article deals with the competence of the bachelors of applied Informatics in the field of object-oriented programming. It represents the contents, functions and features of the motivational and value, organizational and content, cognitive and operational, personal and reflective components of the competence. It explains the two-stage model of formation of the competence involving the implementation of two interrelated disciplines.
