The article deals with one of the urgent means of learning - electronic educational resource, and its advantages in comparison with traditional teaching means. The article describes the stages of development of the electronic educational resource, as well as the primary methods and principles of selecting the content for it.The requirements that must be met by modern electronic educational resources created on the basis ofthe selected methods and principles are under consideration in the article.
