For a long time, the oral text and its formal and structural characteristics were considered the object of listening in oral interpretation. From the standpoint of modern research in the field of translation studies, cognition, discourse, psychology of verbal activity the object of receptive translation activity is expanded to the concept of discourse as the combination of the process and result of the contextually conditioned activity of partners, including linguistic, paralinguistic, extralinguistic components.

The article deals with the features of translation listening and speaking. Special attention is paid to the notion of the interrelated teaching all the types of speech activity. The authors give a detailed description of translation listening and speaking in their interrelation, which contributes to the ability to identify the semantic content of the original text and to transfer it to the secondary statement.
