The article represents the theoretical grounds for the model of the formation process of the intercultural communicative competence of students. The author describes the main stages of the model (conceptual, value-oriented, resultative and evaluative) that allow the formation of the intercultural communicative competence at each stage in the process of vocational training in accordance with the new educational standards.
