The article deals with the military conflict that took place from 26 January to 4 February 1915 the Suez Canal zone during the First world war, where the Ottoman army under the leadership of Germany moved from southern Palestine in the direction of the Sinai Peninsula in order to attack the Suez canal under the protection of Great Britain. The fighting in the Suez Canal zone was the beginning of the Sinai-Palestine campaign.
