The article aims to formulate (by the example of the work by R. Kipling) the distinctive characteristics of an“iconic language personality” as the ideal bearer of the cultural and speech competence, “classic”, “master of speech”, “arbitrator and normalizer of language”, whose work contributes to its progressive development at a certain historical stage in a particular country and the global linguistic culture in general.
