The article deals with the research results based on the methodology of the feasibility and efficacy of the method of mind maps in correctional educational institutions that have some specific characteristics and learning difficulties of the students. The prospects and efficacy of its application in the educational process are proved. It is shown that the mind map methodis equally well suited for teaching different age groups of children in various disciplines.
