The article deals with the methodological methods applied in the elective course. These methods make it possible to use the learning materials on the basics of atomic and nuclear physics in solving ecologically oriented tasks,which helps to overcome fragmentation in the study of nuclear physics in high school and optimize the process of formation of ecological culture of high school students.
