The article deals with the choice of the place of original settlement in 1794 of the Dzherelievskyvillages near the former Tatar town Yeni-Kopyl and itsfollowing resettlement in 1796. The origins of the Novodzhereliyevskaya village in 1809 are under consideration with regards to the history of migrations ofDzherelievskycommunity. The overview of historiographical errors on this subject is given in the article.
