The article deals with the educational work in Tuva schools in the conditions of transformation of society. It is noted that the updating of the educational process in the educational institutions of the Republic was based on the traditions and customs, national and regional features, the achievements of the modern experience, the implementation of the new forms of extracurricular work. The negative aspects in the activities of educational institutions in education of younger generation in this period are described.
