The article deals with the methods of visualization of the image of Kozma Prutkov by verbal and nonverbal means in the magazine “Satirikon”.

The satirical fables of literary masks of Kuzma and IvanPrutkov are compared in the article. In the process of selection of genre forming features of the works by these authors it is found out that the poetics of Ivan Prutkov is influenced by the traditions of satirical and burlesque poetry of KozmaPrutkov and the genre canon in the works by both authors is transformed.
