The article deals with the words from the etymological nest with the root глух- in Yaroslavl dialects of the Russian language. In the derivatives with the roots глух-/глуш- the word formation synonymy and variety typical for the Yaroslavl and other dialects, first of all North Russian, are vividly displayed.
