The article deals with the semantics and collocations of the Russian words space, freedom, will and their derivatives. In the works based on the material of the literary language space and will, in contrast to freedom, are regarded as the notions that reflect the Russian national mentality, as ethnospecific concepts with no correspondence in other languages. In the discourse of dialect bearers the difference between freedom and will in the aspect of their relation to the norm and law is revealed less vividly, which is reflected in synonymy of names in the corresponding meanings, in the absence of differentiation of freedom and will found in the literary language.
