The article represents the archival materials regarding one of the components of the process of colonization of the Kola Peninsula in the Soviet period of the Murmansk history. The work of the enterprise “Zhelryba” is thoroughly analyzed. The author gives the facts that refute its unsatisfactory work claimed in the Soviet period.
