The article deals with the features of verbalization and conceptualization of Russians’ ideas of the present socio-economic reality based on the innovation “leninopad” and its derivatives. The author finds out the word formation method, as well as word-formative and associative connections in formation of their inner form. The functioning features of these pun transforms in mass media texts and in verbal texts of average Internet users are analyzed in the article.
