The article deals with the principles of the aesthetic concept of the first Yakut playwright and the creator of the national theatre Anempodist Sofronov as reflected in his theatrical critical articles. The main principles of the concept of the national theatre and drama are democracy, nationality and realism. It is stated that the formation of the theoretical views of Alampa was influenced by the programme ideas of the playwright and reformer of the Russian theatre A.N. Ostrovsky.

The article deals with the genealogic origins of a founder of the Yakut literature A.I. Sofronov-Alampa. The historical legends about the writers’ ancestors who left their marks in the history of the Sakha people are researched. In the genealogic sources of the classic’s personality one can find the foundations of the unusual fate, predisposition to creative thinking.
