Early poetry by Z. Gippius as the reflection of the decadent moods of the literary epoch “FIN DE SIÈCLE”
The article deals with the poetry by Z.N. Gippius of the 1880-1890s as regarded through the prism of the spiritual, intellectual and artistic search of the “decadent Madonna”. The author emphasizes Gippius’s ability to comprehend and implement creatively the problem of the Russian existence of the epoch of “the century end”.
