The article deals with the historical features of the development of the international Russian outbound tourism to the countries of Foreign Asia. The authors carry out the retrospective analysis of the place of the Asian countries in the changing geopolitical situation. The factors contributing to and hindering the development of outbound tourism of Russians to Asian countries, the dynamics of tourist arrivals for 2013-2017, the distribution of Russian tourists by types of tourism in the Asian region are presented in the article.

The article deals with the dynamics of the population number, natural movement of the population, the population of the Zhyrnovsky municipal district of the Volgograd region based on the statistics and figures of the all-Russia census of the 2002 and 2010. The reasons are found that influence the change in numbers and the natural movement of the population. The features of family, marriage, ethnic details of the population of the Zhyrnovsky municipal district of the Volgograd region are characterized.
