After the end of the Battle of Mukden (6-26 February 1905) the 241 Infantry Orsk and 242 Infantry Belebeevsk regiments, retreating through Tieling, occupied the Siping position where they stayed till the end of the war. The absence of active military actions helped to arrange everyday life of military men, to make changes in military staff of the Orenburg regiments, to conduct regiment and division parades and inspections.
