The article presents a brief description of beer as a typical German product, which is in the centre of the German language gluttony and reflects the ethnic, linguosemiotic and communicative specificity in general. The ethnospecific nature of the rituals of beer drinking is under consideration. This drink is also researched as a product of the linguoculture in terms of origins for phraseological units.

The article deals with the language personality “German language”, which is the basic category of linguistic culture and is characterized by some linguosemiotic parameters in gluttonic communication. The communicative strategies of a German language waiter as the agent of the gastronomic discourse are described.
