The article deals with the issues of organization of research work of students in the aspect of the standards of higher education and vocational standards of a teacher. It describes the general approaches in training for the master’s programme “Physics Education” of the Volgograd State Socio-Pedagogical University to the organization of research work based on the principles of innovation and telecommunication. It presents an example of the event and modular models of training.

The research results regarding the issues of informatization of physical education are represented in this article. It is stated that it is impossible to solve them only on the basis of the principles of culture based pedagogy. The author considers a modern lesson of physics as a multimedia cultural environment, gives and describes its main components; formulates the functioning features and levels of effectiveness.
