Based on the analysis of the archival sources there are considered the forms of cooperation of the Society of Friendship and cultural relations with foreign cultures with the progressive circles of the Ukrainian emigration. There is proved that the basic forms of cooperation were the touristic and cultural exchange. There is shown the role of the Society of Friendship in formation of the positive image of the republic in the view of the Western society by distributing the information about USSR achievements.
