There are described the results of the comparative analysis of the term “discourse” interpretation, given the characteristics of the scientific discourse as one of the types of the institutional discourse, shown the issues of the electronic communication, coincidence of some functions of the scientific and pedagogic types of discourse, which allows considering them in the united paradigm of specialized scientific and educational cooperation.
