There is carried out the linguistic analysis of the process of the new phraseological units origins based on aphorisms from the works by F. Schiller. There are revealed and researched three ways of structural and semantic derivation: isolation of components, vocabulary expanding and decomposition. There is stated the general quantity of the structural and semantic derivatives from Schiller’s aphorisms - 160 phraseological units (110 fixed expressions and 50 phrases).
