The article deals with the pragmalinguistic characteristics of communicative situations of awarding the Nobel prize and IG Nobel antiprize, which compose one opposition on the grounds of serious - non-serious tone. The author suggests that antiprizes belong to the modern comic culture, ritual carnivalization and deritualization of communication.

There are considered the characteristics of the Nobel Prize laureates’ speeches at the official banquets from the positions of the pragmalinguistic and discursive approaches. There are marked and described the components of the communicative situation of the Nobel Prize banquet (communicants, communicative intentions, chronotop, communicative strategies and tactics). There is made the conclusion that the genre of the Nobel Prize banquet speech belongs to various types of discourse: personal, scientific, ritual.
