There are reflected the results of the scientific research work implemented as a genre and discursive research and devoted to the study of mass media genre varieties. The aim is to study the group of the recreation genres directed to easily attract a reader’s attention to the edition, to inform about the events, to interest with facts or phenomena, to report some ideology. The tasks are: to describe the genre characteristics of the texts under consideration, to find out their properties, functions and communicative tasks. Being an instrument of the mass culture, recreation genres use the stereotypes of mass thinking, oriented at all the society, have the properties of plurality and intertextualuity. There are used the following analysis methods: the conceptual analysis, the interpretation analysis, introspection. The article is supported by the Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
