The article deals with the results of the diagnostics of school experience in development of cultural self-determination of senior school pupils. The potential of social disciplines and humanities for the development of this personal phenomenon, comprehension of the tasks of this process by teachers are described in the article. Value guidelines of the modern senior school pupils are found out. The levels of development of cultural self-determination of senior school pupils are determined.

From the positions of the holistic pedagogic process and value process in education there are stated the foundations of constructing the model of senior school pupils’ cultural self-determination. There is given the author’s definition of the aspect, marked out their stages. There are represented the psychological grounds of modeling the process of senior school pupils’ cultural self-determination, as well as the system of the means of development of the personal phenomenon under consideration.
