There is given the characteristic of poorly studied in the history of the Great Patriotic War military operations of some divisions of the Soviet troops in the summer and the autumn of the 1942 in the steppes of Kalmykia, at the external defensive fortification of Stalingrad, determined their role in achieving the victory in Stalingrad.
