The author considers the selection and system construction of the pedagogic means of independent work motivationof teenaged pupils. The article deals with the influence of the system of means on the development of teenaged pupils’ personal qualities.

There are revealed the criteria of formation of teenager pupils’ motivation for independent work, represented their characteristics. From the positions of the holistic approach there is regarded the level model of pupils’ motivation for independent work.

There is defined the notion of teenage pupils’ motivation for independent work. There are revealed the functions, structural components and criteria of formation of this personal quality.
