There are considered the criteria of the typology of semantic transformations from the verbs with the denotative sign “sound” like Russian трещать, свистеть, English hum, crack, jerk and so on. As the basis there is considered the acoustical and articulation inner form of nomination, which is the prototype of the verbs.
