There are considered the linguistic and poetic means of the character’s actions description by the example of Henry Higgins’ image in the play by Bernard Shaw “Pygmalion”. There is shown that in the actions it is possible to find out the characteristic features and traits of the character. The analysis is based on the most meaningful artistic and compositional, verbal means.
